Originally, I had the overlay working properly with Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 however, when I recently – and reluctantly – upgraded to Windows 10 after my main drive crashed, the overlay would lose focus immediately when starting the game from SWTOR’s launcher as normal.
Once I figured out how to get the Steam Overlay to run on the Star Wars: The Old Republic’s MMO, it never occurred to me back then to write a guide to help others looking to accomplish the same goal.
